"I had a great experience this week at Pak Oriental Rug. My wife and I decided to buy a large persian rug that would have a design consistent with the rugs we puchased a few years ago. We found a rug that we thought would be perfect and brought it home. However, the colors were wrong for our decor. The reds were a blue-based red instead of a yellow-based red. My wife was unhappy. We called up Ahmed and explained the situation. He was very professional and accommodated the exchange. When we showed up two days later, he had six rugs ready to show us in the classic style we requested. However, none of these rugs met our liking. Ahmed then had his employees display their inventory to us and we found four rugs that we did like. In the end we picked a rug that was an equivalent price and just the right colors. When we got it home we were so happy! I appreciate the genuinely warm greeting by Ahmed and his father when we arrived to exchange the rug. I was very happy with the time and effort Ahmed put in to help us find the perfect rug. My wife loved the constant educational narration by Ahmed both during our first and second visits, where he explained how to tell a good rug and how to care for them. My impression is that Ahmed and his father stand behind their product and wanted us to be happy. This is as good as it gets."

"We found Pak based on previous reviews and my assistant's eagle eye for doing the research. It was great from the moment we met their professional staff. Two hours after leaving with my rugs, I was called immediately. My husband's father had just begun to divide his estate. It turns out we own an unreasonable unique rug that is an original from Iran. Ahmed was amazing and so comforting as he explained a million details about the delicacy of my rugs. Under this professional guide and service they were able to select for us the best cleaning procedure given the particular fabrics of each of our rugs. And not only did they give me a great price on a couple of small rugs I wanted for my bathroom and foyer, they worked magic in repairing an antique rug that I thought was beyond repair but one that I wanted to keep for sentimental reasons, and did a wonderful job in cleaning and repairing my two 25-year-old rugs. "I came to Pak looking for a rug for my living room.... I left with a gorgeous hand-woven, vegetable dyed, Pakistani tribal rug which I love. I feel good about having a rug of high quality made with natural dyes for my little one to crawl around on.
It is a father and son running the business and they were extremely helpful. They have quite a large selection with many styles to choose from as well as various price points. The son, Ahmed, took lots of time with me to narrow down my choices and then let me bring home my two favorites to try out in the space. There was no pressure to bring them back right away or to buy. The price was fair and I am extremely happy with my experience overall.
I would definitely recommend Pak Rugs."

"I just moved to the city and needed a 5x8 to 6x9 sized area rug to cover my hardwood floors and match with a sofa set I just purchased. I'd visited the store twice. The first time Anjum helped find me a rug that met my style, color and cost criteria. However, I selected a different style of sofa, so the second time Ahmed, his son, helped find another 3 potential rugs. Father, son and a bunch of guys spent well over an hour pulling back loads of heavy rugs to find the rugs that would be a good fit and the whole time were very friendly and helpful. Ultimately, when I decided on the best rug they negotiated a great price for me. I'd visited about 5 other similar area rug stores in the area. They definitely have either the biggest or are tied for the biggest selections. However, what really set them apart was that number of hand-knotted rugs (which I think is everyone in their store) that were in my price range. Their competitors only had a few clearance styles in this price range, or were only hand-tufted rather than hand-knotted. My only constructive criticism for them would be to organize their rugs by style at a minimum (i.e. antique, classic, modern) to save the customer and themselves some time, but ultimately they did what it took to find the gems in the huge stacks. At a minimum, if you're shopping for area rugs you should stop by their showroom to see if they have something that fits your criteria, because there's a good chance they do"
